The One Hop and Stop Wedge Shot
This is a great shot to have in your arsenal with you’ve got a good lie and anywhere from 30 to 70 yards left to the pin. It’s one the pros constantly rely on to save those precious pars or birdies.
- Put the ball slightly back in your stance
- Keep your spine centered with weight and hands forward
- Take your 56-degree wedge and choke down slightly for control
- Just brush the turf with and lean the shaft forward — this will keep the angle of attack and dynamic loft of the wedge in the right zone
- The ball will take one big hop and stop
