The Left Or Right Curve Shot
Sometimes you’ve just gotta be able to “work” the ball — put the proper spin on it so it curves slightly to the left or right depending on the situation. Here’s the failsafe lowdown for both directions
For a draw, the path of the club must be moving further right than the face is pointing at impact.
- Aim blade where you want the ball to begin
- Aim slightly right of the target
- Swing from the inside to the outside
- Relax the hands and the club will release naturally
For a fade, the path of the club must be moving further left than the face is pointing at impact.
- Aim blade where you want the ball to begin
- Aim slightly left of the target
- Swing from the outside to the inside
- Maintain firm grip pressure in the hands with a “holding on” type of feeling through impact
