YET MORE OPTIONS
So, armed with the knowledge that my Bridgestones are more than OK but the Ping i500s would be even better, my next move is to decide whether to:
- Go all-in with a completely new set of Pings $195.50 per club with the Dynamic Gold, $210 per club with the KBS C-Taper
- Get the Bridgestones re-fitted with either shaft (I’m leaning KBS; love that sleek, no-stair-step look and they’re just a little more responsive through the hitting zone), for about $50 per club including fitting fee.
It’s good problem to have.
No. 1 is, of course a viable option, and a bargain considering Eaton would be doing the job. He’s as exacting as you’d imagine a well-trained GolfTec fitter to be. He takes this stuff seriously.
As do I now, thanks to a couple hours in GolfTec’s friendly and convenient environment, out of the winter elements. My iron game deserves some clubfitting love. How about yours?
