Boy, I guess it IS true. The more things change, the more they stay the same. And that goes for a golf lesson, too.
I say that as I make my way through some of my favorite editions of “Weekend Wisdom,” an all-things-golf column I wrote as editor of Fairways + Greens magazine from 1998 to 2012. I came across this gem from 2008 that describes a lifelong flaw in my golf swing and how, as I faced down age 50, I finally sought the professional help I’d long needed yet somehow avoided — from several top teaching pros, of course.
I’ve updated and edited a bit, and a couple teachers I mention have moved on from the venues mentioned, but the subject is more than still germane: It’s universal among golfers.
Anyway, I thought it was worth another spin. Enjoy.
