BIG MAX BAGS
Based in Britain, Big Max specializes in some of the most well-designed golf accessories on the market. While its outstanding Blade IP push cart gets a lot of attention and rightly so, last year brought the Aqua series of bags to light, and we do mean light — indeed, they weigh next to nothing yet protect the sticks from some of the nastiest weather imaginable. The whole Aqua series is 100 percenet waterproof, seam-sealed with waterproof zips — rated 10,000 millimeters of water per 24 hours. “We have a video of a guy putting it in the washing machine with his phone in there, and it comes out fine,” said company rep David Wheatley. “They’re very lightweight, yet there’s plenty of room.”
Big Max’s DryLite line of bags offers basically the same technology, except for sealed seams. They are 2,000 mm rated for all but the worst weather. And they’re even lighter. All bags have that classic, streamlined European styling, and both lines have added fabrics with a cloth feel — gray and red are among the most popular.
